Colson Kelly (aka Machine Gun Kelly) is a rapper who has a unique style. Baker was originally born in Houston, Texas U.S. on the 22nd of April 1990 to parents who were of English Scottish German descent. His parents were missionaries. During his childhood Baker traveled a lot together. James Colson Baker suffered from depression and was unemployed, as Sonia Alane abandoned them at the age of nine. Baker along with his father moved to Denver, where they lived at the house of his dad's aunt. Baker was bullied by other kids in the neighborhood due to of his poor living conditions. After he was in the sixth grade, Baker started to take up the art of rap. Colson Kelly was born as Machine Gun Kelly on April 22, 1989, in Texas. His music is well known for blending hip-hop trends of the present along with classic rock. Prior to joining Bad Boy Records Baker released four mixtapes from 2007 to the year 2010. The Cleveland rapper who penned lyrics at the pace of a speeding bullet experienced an explosive growth when at the end of 2011, Baker made the switch from self-released mixtapes to established label. His career took off every album being ranked within the top ten.
